A Trip To Malang


A few months ago, after my classmates and I finished the National Exams. We decided to go to Batu, Malang. We went there by plane. About an hour later, we arrived. We immediately went to a restaurant to eat breakfast. We spent three days staying at Jambuluwuk Cottage. Then we went to Jatim Park. It was my first time going to Jatim Park. It turned out to be like Dufan in Jakarta. We rode some rides there, but I thought the ghost house was the most fun. We continued the trip to Batu Secret Zoo. We walked there by foot. At Batu Secret Zoo we saw so many kinds of animals and also some rare plants. We got the chance to feed animals too. After that we came back to hotel. At night, all of us can't sleep because we felt excited to go to Mount Bromo the next morning. And then we decided to play werewolf together the whole night. At 01.00 am we were fetched by bus to go to jeep rental. We moved to the jeep and continue the trip to Penanjakan 1. When we arrived there we were wearing our jackets and gloves because it was freezing. We watched the sun rises from Kingkong Hills. We took many photos there because the scenery was amazing. Then we moved to the whispering sand. We stopped by a few minutes just to see the fog clearly and took some group photos. Then we moved to Teletubbies Hills, at Teletubbies Hills we were just laying on the grass and breathe fresh air. After that we go back to Batu. 

We went to a restaurant to eat lunch. Then we went to Museum Angkut. There was so many antique vehicle. And we watched the parade too. On the second night we spent our times to exchange gifts and play werewolf again. On the next day, and also the last day, we went to Coban Rondo. Coban Rondo is a waterfall that is located near our hotel. There so many wild monkeys, so we must be careful of them. After we saw the waterfall, we felt hungry and we decided to go to Inggil Restaurant. It was famous because at Inggil Restaurant we can eat while learning history. After eating, all of us went to souvenirs shop. They offered so many things to us. Such as batik, wooden figurine, T-shirt with the word “Malang” or “Angel from Malang” printed on it, leather handbag and various kinds of chips. I decided to buy a leather handbag and some chips. After shopping we went to the airport to return to Jakarta.

Cucu Lucu

Pada suatu hari di sebuah tepian sungai, hiduplah seorang nenek tua dan cucu lucunya yang merupakan anak yatim piatu. Anaknya atau mama dari cucunya yang merupakan atlet lari meninggal sesaat setelah latihan kaena dehidrasi, sedangkan menantunya meninggal beberapa minggu kemudian tanpa sebab yang jelas. Tentu saja hal ini sangat menyedihkan baginya. Ia terus melihat cucunya dengan tatapan yang tidak bisa digambarkan. Ada perasaan bingung bagaimana ia harus menghidupi cucunya ketika ia saja sulit untuk menghidupi dirinya sendiri. Ada perasaan haru ketika ia mengingat bahwa cucunya itu yatim piatu sejak berusia empat tahun. Dan tentunya ada harapan yang menggebu-gebu untuk bisa membahagiakan cucunya, atau setidaknya hidup seperti orang normal lainnya yang memiliki kasih sayang penuh dari kedua orangtuanya. Nenek ini terus berusaha menjadi nenek sekaligus orangtua yang baik untuk cucu lucunya. Setiap pagi ia pergi ke pasar untuk membeli bahan-bahan nasi uduk. Ya, si nenek berjualan na...
